    Tracy Morgan was recently in a terrible car accident. The comedian/actor was involved in a multi-car crash leaving one person dead and Tracy in critical condition. While traveling home on the New Jersey Turnpike from a tour date in Delaware, a truck collided with Morgan’s chauffeured SUV. Tracy suffered a broken femur, broken nose, and several broken ribs. Fellow comedian James McNair, who was traveling with Tracy, was killed. Two other passengers in the car were also seriously injured.

    While trying to get home for the holidays to Jackson Hole, Wyoming one year, Sandra Bullock's twin engine skidded off the runway, tearing the plane apart. A true holiday miracle, Sandra and her boyfriend at the time Bob Schneider (who was with her) escaped without a scratch!

    Rachel Bilson got into a horrible car accident when she was only 14 years old. While riding in a car along California's Pacific Coast Highway, another car collided with the car she was riding in. According to Entertainmentwise.com, she is left with a scar above her right eye and suffers from migraines and memory loss from the accident. She says, "I basically died and then came back. The window went into my head. It was really gross."

    In 2002, Kanye West was injured in a car accident after he left a studio at 3 a.m. in West Hollywood. Kanye ended up in the hospital with a broken jaw, which was wired shut. His song "Through the Wire" was inspired by the horrible accident.

    Leonardo DiCaprio's career almost ended like a scene out of JAWS when he came face to face with a great white shark! The actor was filming Blood Diamond in 2006 and while filming in the water, he got stuck in a cage with a great white. He revealed to Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show, "It was a gigantic great white. It was in the cage with me. They actually said, 'In 30 years this has never happened.'" He continued, "Half of its body was in and out, and I'm flattened down at the bottom. It was this far away and it chomped a few times, but I survived it."

    What a trooper! How has he not won an Oscar yet?!

    They say cats have nine lives, but maybe 50 Cent does too. In 2000, the rapper was shot nine times while sitting in a car in front of his grandmother's house in Queens, New York. After he recovered, he released a mixtape called Guess Who's Back.

    Drew Barrymore's dogs actually saved her from burning in a horrible fire. In 2001, the actress and her then-fiance Tom Green were sleeping in their home when she woke up to her dog pawing and whining at her door while her house was in flames.

    In case you didn't know, Liam Hemsworth loves to surf. But a scary experience out on the water when he was younger almost took his life. One day, the leg rope on Liam's surf board somehow got wrapped around his entire body, almost drowning him!

    Orlando Bloom was almost paralyzed for life after taking a three-story fall from his friend's rooftop terrace! In 1998, the actor was over a buddy's place when he tried to fix something on their roof. Attempting to climb up the drain, it collapsed and he fell three stories. Orlando was paralyzed for four days, and managed to walk out of the hospital on crutches and sporting a back brace several weeks later.

    Talk about dedication to your career. Gerard Butler nearly drowned in 2012 while filming Chasing Mavericks. The movie was centered around surfing and while in the water he was hit by a big wave causing him to be trapped in the undertow. He told USA Today, "And then I started thinking, I just wanted to scream. And I was so deep underwater. I wanted to scream 'Help, somebody!'"

    Last year, Kelly Rowland almost ended up lost at sea! The singer was on a whale-watching cruise off the coast of Provincetown, Massachusetts with a few friends when they lost sight of the boat they were following. With barely any cell phone service at all, they managed to call for help and the coast guard sent a towboat to bring them back. She told PEOPLE magazine she was thinking, "Please let us get to shore in one safe, sound piece. I just want to see tomorrow."

    Jason Derulo is known for his dance skills, but in 2012 he fractured his neck trying out a difficult move. The singer landed on his head and the accident could have left him paralyzed or worse. While he recovered, Jason wore a neck brace for a several months.

    Travis Barker almost lost his life after a terrifying plane crash. The drummer and DJ AM were leaving South Carolina after playing a show in Columbia in a private plane which did not make it off the ground while taking off. The plane ended up in flames after hitting an embankment after it skidded off the runway. Thankfully, both Travis and DJ AM made it out of the crash alive, but suffered major burns. Several other passengers and the pilot and co-pilot died in the horrible accident. Barker told Rolling Stone "I was lying next to AM as the plane was exploding, and I was screaming, 'Are we alive?'"

    Isla Fisher almost drowned while filming the movie Now You See Me. The actress did her own stunts in the movie, and one scene involved pulling off the near-impossible trick of escaping from handcuffs while under water! She told Chelsea Handler, "My chain got stuck. I had to really swim to the bottom. Everyone thought I was acting fabulously. I was actually drowning ... no one realized I was actually struggling."

    Kate Winslet's vacation turned into a terrifying memory when she was involved in a scary fire. The actress was away with her family on Richard Branson's exclusive Necker Island. During a lightning storm one night, a fire broke out! Kate managed to survive AND save Richard Branson's 90-year-old mother.

    In 2011, Miranda Cosgrove was involved in an accident when her bus collided with a tractor-trailer. The accident left Miranda with a broken ankle.

    In 2007, Eminem ended up in the hospital after he accidentally overdosed on drugs. In a documentary How to Make Money Selling Drugs, Eminem recalls the horrible incident, "Had I got to the hospital about two hours later, I would have died. My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything. They were gonna have to put me on dialysis, they didn't think I was gonna make it."

    Gloria Estefan was the victim of a gruesome bus accident while traveling on tour near Scranton, Pennsylvania. A semi-truck crashed into her tour bus in a snowstorm. Gloria fractured her spine and stayed in an ICU before being transported by helicopter to New York City where she underwent surgery. She had two titanium rods implanted in order to to stabilize her vertebral column.

    Anne Hathaway may have drowned if a surfer hadn't saved her life after getting caught in a riptide. The actress was on vacation with her husband in Oahu, Hawaii when she got stuck and was struggling in the water.

    Johnny Depp and The Rum Diaries director Bruce Robinson were on a plane when suddenly the plane shut down and the sound of the engines stopped. The actor and director both thought the plane was going to crash, but had an unexpected reaction to the scary moment. Johnny told Live Magazine, "Nobody said a word except for Bruce and I, sitting next to each other saying, 'Oh sh** This is death; I guess this is how it goes down.' Then we burst into hysterical laughter at the idea that this was how we were going to die." Thankfully, the plane's engines started back up again not long after.

    Jason Priestley was involved in an almost fatal car crash while driving a race car during a practice run at Kentucky Speedway going 180 MPH. The actor crashed into a wall and suffered a concussion, broken back, nose, and feet, among other injuries. Eventually he recovered.

    Sharon Stone suffered internal bleeding due to a tear in their back of her skull in 2001. A severe excrutiating headache sent the actress to the hospital for eight days where doctors discovered her subarachnoid hemorrhage. She describes the pain as feeling like she had been "shot in the head."

    Gary Busey nearly lost his life when he crashed his motorcycle while going 75 MPH. He underwent brain surgery following the accident and told Larry King that he died on the table and had an out-of-body experience including a "spiritual awakening."

    While filming a scene for the movie Modern Problems in 1980, Chevy Chase got electrocuted! In the scene, Chevy was required to wear lights on his arms to simulate an airplane's landing lights. Tragically, the lights shorted out and gave Chevy the shock of his life. The worst part was as he was being electrocuted, everyone on set thought the actor was joking and let the incident continue!

    While driving with his girlfriend in Florida in 2005, Aaron Carter's car went up in flames! A mattress on a car in front of him flew off and became wedged underneath his vehicle and ignited, engulfing his car in flames. Thankfully he was able to pull over and escape. But that wasn't his only near-death experience. The singer was once rescued from being trapped in quicksand!

    While undergoing surgery, Elizabeth Taylor claims she died for seven minutes on the operating table. Before she came back to life, she says she had an encounter with one of her ex-husbands who apparently "pushed" her back to life.
