A man of many aliases, Sean "Diddy" Combs is now adding "Doctor" to the list of names you can call him.

The college dropout-turned-hip-hop mogul and entrepreneur was welcomed back to his old stomping grounds at Howard University Saturday where he was presented with an honorary Doctorate of Humanities.

Diddy also delivered Howard's 146th Commencement Speech amid some criticism about his dropout status and party reputation.  Graduates in attendance still gave Diddy a warm welcome and standing ovation, some calling out his name at random moments during his address.

Diddy called on graduates to tap into their inner strength and make their dreams a reality sharing the story of how he pushed himself through the New York City Marathon ten years ago and raised $2 million for the public school system.

Combs was one of a number of honorary degree recipients at Howard University's commencement ceremony Saturday.  CNN's Wolf Blitzer was also among the honorees along with jazz legend Benny Golson.
