Daniel Arteaga Sentenced To 30 Years In Prison For Girlfriend's Murder
A 42-year-old man who was convicted of killing his girlfriend was sentenced Thursday in Spokane to 30 years in prison.
Daniel Arteaga was convicted of murder in April for the shooting 34-year-old Kimberley Rae Schmidt. Her body was found by her mother on New Year's Day 2012.
Authorities said Arteaga dated Schmidt for more than six years although he was married.
Both worked at Scuba Center of Spokane.
